Consultation - engaging and involving key stakeholders

Our aim over the next year is to drive forward continuous improvement and innovation by further involving supported individuals and staff in influencing all areas of service delivery.

  • In 2009 we launched our 'Service User Consultation Days' - to capture views on a series of new policies and procedures which are being rolled out across The Group over the next twelve months.
  • Our SLC Group Employee Information Consultation Forum (EICF) was launched in 2009 with the aim to involve and empower staff. Representatives have been chosen by colleagues in all locations across The Group. Feedback gathered during the EICF meetings are fed back to staff by their chosen reps. These sessions provide a platform where staff can have their say, share views and take part in dicussions about issues within the SLC Group.

Charles Eggleston, Chief Executive of The SLC Group says "Feedback from the people we support is vital as it provides us with information about whether the services we provide are of a good standard. It also gives the people we support more choice and control over how they live their lives in regards to the support they receive."

"This latest survey reveals some positive responses and I am encouraged by the overall results. Continuous Improvement is the focal point within all areas of service delivery and our aim over the next year is on setting goals so we can improve further." Charles adds.

The SLC Group provides supported living and independent living support services to individuals in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Derbyshire, Merseyside, Cumbria, Yorkshire and Blackburn with Darwen.
