  • Sustain your tenancy and maintain your flat/accommodation

  • Increase independence and self-determination

  • Make a greater and more positive participation in the community

  • Achieve personal goals

  • Move-on to independent living

Q What is floating Support?

Floating support is a term to describe what has previously been called outreach support. Floating support is different from other support services because staff do not support an individual in all aspects of their life, just some important parts of it.

Q How does it work?

Time is planned in advance with the person receiving support and recorded in an individual service agreement. This means that you will know when you are going to be visited by a Community Support Worker and what will happen during the visit. Floating support is offered to people wherever they are living, and does not have to be tied to any particular property.
